Ceramics Patterning through Robotics

This project reflects ongoing research about how new technologies create new possibilities within crafting and how new technologies can build on traditional techniques within the field of ceramics. The research explores how the use of robotics extends the craftsman’s hand to utilise both the embodied knowledge of the craftsman and robotic through patterning by the use of traditional tools, - and how robotics enables the craftsman dealing with small details and repetition beyond the work of the craftsman’s hand.
