Forskningsområde
Kathrina Dankl har en baggrund som industriel designer og en ph.d. grad i designantropologi, med projektet ”Very Experienced People: An Ethnography of Design, Ageing and Style”, fra University of Applied Arts Vienna. På designskolen er Kathrina Dankl ved at opbygge et forskningsprojekt indenfor området ”Shared decision Making” i samarbejde med Sygehus Lillebælt, Vejle sygehus. Hun har i sin forskning arbejdet med velfærdsdesign, alder, inclusive design, designmetoder og social innovation. Kathrina Dankl fordeler sin tid mellem Kolding og Wien, hvor hun bl.a leder sit eget designstudio.
