Abstract
How can design students be encouraged to make experiments and necessary mistakes in order to become better designers and better learners? This paper presents a pedagogical experiment in design education where students have worked with methods inspired by growth mindset and narrative practice as means to develop a bolder attitude towards experimentation with less focus on how to get a high grade and more focus on exploration and learning.
