Curriculum

Current:

Associate professor at School of Conservation since 2014. Main areas of teaching and research are preventive conservation, and the conservation of photographs.

 

Education:

2007. PhD, School of Conservation, Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, in cooperation with the International Centre for Indoor Environment and Energy, Technical University of Denmark.

2001. Conservator (MSc), School of Conservation, Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.

1995. Conservator (BSc), School of Conservation, Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.

  • Environment's influence on material's longevity, with a special focus on cultural heritage objects.
  • The impact of air pollution on materials.
  • The dynamics of air and climate: from outdoor atmospheric chemistry and meteorology to the micro-environments found indoors.
  • Energy, sustainability and the operation of museum buildings.
  • Climate control in buildings by active or passive means, including the special needs in historic houses.
  • Living conditions, health, indoor environments, and personal exposures, for historic and prehistoric people (e.g., in Viking Age houses).
