Research profile/education
Morten Meldgaard (b. 1970) is a film director, architect and PhD in film and architecture. He graduated from the The Royal Academy of Fine Arts, school of architecture in 1997 and National Film School of Denmark's TV study programme in 2003 and is currently employed with The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, as a writer, scientist and teacher. The thesis "Construction of the Gaze" earned him the PhD degree in 2009. Meldgaards research field is centred on the concept of montage in film and architecture.

In addition to his employment with The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Morten Meldgaard works in creative film practice in cooperation with Anne Wivel and the film production company Barok Film A/S. The documentary film "Kim" is Meldgaard's debut as a film director and director of photography
