Theory in Practice: A Nordic Approach to Teaching Fashion Design

Abstract

The paper presents a teaching model intended to enable students to use fashion theory and philosophy as a point of departure for artistic development. The model is entitled LiFT - Lab in Fashion Theory - and has been developed and tested over a periode of four years with students at Fashion Design, KADK.
