Abstract
The Heraclitian notion of a reality in constant flux seems to have settled even in the public consciousness. We are, to an ever-increasing extent, on the move; in motion between different places of abode, between domiciles and places of residence, between temporary addresses and provisory settlements. In the faithful company of technology - that embodied ‘other' of ours - we are constantly heading somewhere, constantly in between the present and the potential. With or without agreement, we have become down to the bone nomadic. With no clear destination, we are following our own flickering cones of light, as the cut their way into the unknown, like wedges of anxiety
