The Danish artist Asger Jorn (1914-1973) was one of the most important exponants of modern Nordic art. Meanwhile, he played a vital part in different European postwar avant-gardes. This monograph sheds light on Jorn´s artistic and literary oeuvre. It focuses not only on his multifaceted modes of expression in paitings, sculptures, prints, weavings, and architecture but also provides insight into his charismatic personality.
