Abstract

The Danish artist Asger Jorn (1914-1973) was one of the most important exponents of Nordic art in the 20th century. Meanwhile, he also played a vital part in the European postwar avant-gardes. This monograph aims to shed new light on Jorn´s artistic and literary oeuvre. It focuses not only on his multifaceted modes of expression in paintings, sculptures, prints, weavings and architecture, but also provides an insight into his charismatic personality.
