Conservation of a 4c. AD painted ceiling

This was a preliminary research visit, which aimed at collecting archival data about the 4th century AD painted ceiling from the Episcopal basilica in Stobi, Macedonia. The larger part of the time was dedicated to creating an inventory of the fragments (both written and photographic). The data will be used for identifying the further research needs as well as for drafting a project for the study and the conservation of the ceiling.
