Project Details

Description

This project is a collaborative investigation of the resale market in Denmark, together with 20+ brands and resale platforms. In the project we investigate how barriers of tracking and logistics might be overcome with the aid of blockchain and IoT, and how the resale market as a circular business model might stimulate longer lifespans of garments and a shift in the fashion industry from a linear towards a circular economy - including difficult matters such as reduction of volume. In the WP of the Royal Danish Academy, PhD student Mette Dalgaard Nielsen is conducting ANT-based netnography and wardrobe studies of brands and resale platforms as well as active resellers and of selected categories of garments, in the attempt of understanding how designers, brands and users of resale might engage more actively in green transition work.
