In my PhD manifesto I wrote, among other things, that my project must be equally relevant for design research and design practice. I was therefore very enthusiastic when the international textile company Kvadrat invited me to present my project and conduct a workshop about colour for a group of employes and B2B partners. I replaced words like methodology and epistemology with everyday language, but the meaning stayed the same. And I had ‘real people’ from the design practice I research reflecting on my ideas. Kvadrat holds an impressive portfolio of textiles for interior and collaborates with international designers. Their colour work is outstanding.
