Abstract
This paper provides an analytical contribution to the research field of sustainable fashion consumption by outlining a material-semiotic approach. This material-semiotic approach is contrasted with the presiding behavioral approaches through two analytical moves: 1. from individual choice to everyday practices, and 2. from implications for design to practice-oriented design. The two analytical moves are illustrated through two teaching-based research collaborations, which both sought to
