Revitalisering af industrikulturarvens funktionstømte bygninger

The Ph.D. project aims at exploring potentials and challenges related to sustainable adaptive reuse of preservation-worthy industrial buildings from the mid- to post-war period in Denmark, constituting an overlooked segment of cultural heritage. The project applies theory, an architectural-historical analysis, and case studies in order to identify sustainable development opportunities in accordance with heritage values. The case study pursues a site-specific approach for the management, valuation, and development of industrial heritage. The objective is to contribute to established municipal practices by formulating a new methodological approach and according strategies for valuation, preservation and development of the industrial heritage.
