An Eco-Metabolistic Framework for Sustainable Architecture

A novel framework to deploy bio-based materials in architecture
While we are facing climate change threats and the global crisis of materials depletion, novel methodologies, materials and solutions are necessary for our future. But, despite legislation and work towards a transition for the architecture sector, the sector remains reserved regarding these changes. With this in mind, the EU-funded ECO-METABOLISTIC-ARC project aims to overcome the challenges that discourage the architecture sector’s transition to bio-based materials. Specifically, the project will research and introduce a holistic eco-metabolistic framework that would provide renewable, carbon-neutral and materially optimised design solutions.
