Beskrivelse
This project investigates the possibility of cultivating micro algae as sustainable biomass for the production of Polylactic Acid PLA. The project aims to:
- to gain knowledge about the growth behavior of microalgae.
- to simulate a harvest pattern of microalgae from a bioreactor.
- to investigate the possibilities of converting algae biomass into PLA.
- To explore the possibilities of designing Algae-bioreactor.
- To document and communicate the findings of the research. Grain knowledge about the making of bio polymers in general, their performance characters and their ability to be reused and/or bio-degraded at end-of-life.
- to gain knowledge about the growth behavior of microalgae.
