Transformation on abandonment; radical preservation of the rural built environment in Denmark

Beskrivelse

The lecture reports on a specific research by design research project. The research project is formed by a critical preservation practice aiming at abandoned buildings of everyday life. The preservation practice is undertaken as a series of transformations of abandonned buildings prototyped at full scale in various rural village settings. Responses of the local communities are utilized as a feed back mechanism. The research has recently been presented at international conferences in USA and Europe.
