The Regional Situation in Aarhus

Abstract

In Denmark, as in many other
countries, migration from rural
areas to the larger towns and cities
is causing numerous problems.
Towns and cities grow beyond
their means, and rising property
prices constitute an enormous financial
burden for the individuals
who live in them. When it comes
to treating the individual citizen
fairly, these towns and cities face
significant challenges on many
levels as a result of urban growth,
including with regard to urban
administration, infrastructure
and the management of public
services.
