Abstract
The aim of this paper is to investigate and discuss how readings of the (historical) building fabric and the assessment of values can develop and qualify future circular buildings and cities. A further aim is to challenge and broaden our understanding of values by critically examining contemporary conservation practice in order to suggest the application of values related to circularity in future conservation and transformation.
