Abstract
Architecture, which conforms to the principles of circular economy, reuses construction waste and enables the future reuse of building materials. Working with waste requires research, material tests, consultations and the flexible design process. The reuse of building materials should be considered in the beginning of the design process. It is necessary that buildings are planned according to the lifecycles of their elements. Moreover, the reuse scenarios need to be defined in the conceptual phase of the project development. In this paper, adequate theories and case studies are presented. Furthermore, some general rules concerning the form, materials and the design process are established.
