Abstract

The issue 22 of AT journal is dedicated to the link between Nature and City, recognising the relevance of the debate on urban development in the natural environment and vice versa. AT collects projects and essays that approach, from different scales, the definition of the boundary between the natural and the artificial. The selection pays a special attention to the capacity of a project to transform, improve, conserve and develop the potential of a territory. The comparison of territorial, urban and architectural scales is common to all the presented projects. This puts at the same level scales that sometimes are weakly integrated within a project allowing a synoptic view of the parts and the whole. The three scales are enriched by the intersection of the landscape and socio-cultural identities of this territorial context.
