N2 - The epilogue includes a collective interview with three architecture studios that share the distinctive feature of operating abroad from Santiago de Compostela and Barcelona: Estar, Barozzi / Veiga and Addenda. The interview addresses three issues, and does so in relation to the content developed in each of the three sections that structures Quaderns 272:- the relationship between architecture and the city (scale 1),- the definition of the identity of an architectural object (scale 2) and- the implementation of a structural detail (scale 3).These three scales illustrate the development of different “cosmetic techniques” (Kipnis 1997) and, consequently, the construction of personal awareness, and of imagined identities in a foreign context. Each studio was asked the same three questions and requested to answer on the basis of the experience gained from the development of a single project.* Project documents that illustrate the reflections of the authors accompany each response.*Ancien Manège (Geneva, Switzerland), Estar (Aurora Armental and Stefano Ciurlo); Musèe Cantonal des Beaux-Arts (Lausanne, Switzerland), Barozzi / Veiga (Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga); Bauhaus Museum Dessau (Dessau, Germany), Addenda (Cecilia Rodr.guez, Arnau Sastre, Anne Hinz, José Zabala and Roberto González).
