Abstract
‘Fragments of Intuition’ seeks, through a series of material experiments, to discuss and understand wood from several perspectives. Some experiments zooms in on the inner, microstructural qualities of wood, while other approaches the material’s uniqueness from the shape of the logs. Each experiment pays attention to material and processing of material in a different way. Individually the experiments can be seen as pilot tests, and collectively they form a broad understanding of wood - both as a material itself and as a material in the context of processing.
