Abstract

This is the first of three CA2RE+ books. It discusses and identifies the long-term development goals and potentials of Design Driven Doctoral Research (DDDr). The book is based on presentations and reflections from two CA2RE conferences held in Ghent 2019 and (online) in Trondheim 2020. It presents the intentions and research approaches of the CA2RE network. The book includes workshops and selected PhD presentations from the two conferences contextualised by testimonials and reflections on outcomes and development potentials. The contributions place DDDr in an academic research context within the growing field of research-by-design related research fields.
