Description
The 5th World Urban Forum in Rio de Janeiro attracted 20.000 urbanists, activists, NGO and government representatives. Maputo HomeSpace and the Royal Academy School of Architecture organised a Danish exhibition stand together with the Danish Cultural Centre in Rio. Students from RASA were represented with the prize projects "Sustainable Living" and the Department of Human Settlements student course in Maputo "Maxaquene Maputo Mozambique", as well as Architects without Borders and a Danish urban art project in Rio de Janeiro.
The networking event was organised together with UN Habitat Mozambique, presenting HomeSpace research and Habitat work on disaster mitigation in urban areas in Mozambique.
