The Vinland Map, Speculum Historiale and Tartar Relation: Studies in deterioration, materials and techniques

The purpose of the projekt is to investigate physical condition of the Vinland Map and the books. The diagnosis will be based on simple non-destructive methods. Moreover, materials, techniques, crafts and stylistic patterns and style will be recorded, analysed and if possible dated. The survey results will be published in a relevant international refereed scientific journal.
