Project Details
Description
This project was conducted as part of the strategic collaboration between Design School Kolding and Danish shoe producer ECCO. It represents a so-called "basic research project", a format developed by Design School Kolding to fruitfully bridge academic research and design practice, in relation to industry partners.
In the project, I develop further my approach to the so-called "wardrobe method", in close dialogue with my project partner, textile designer Helle Graabæk. Through interviews with informants about their shoe collections, Graabæk and I exchange and learn from each our separate "views" on the field work material.
The project is documented first part of the booklet "Shoes - How we use them. How we design them" (see link below), but also in the 3rd part of my PhD thesis "The Daily Selection" (see "PhD project")
