Description
The persistent modelling project investigates novel design strategies that exploit the potential of digital technologies applied to three core phases of architectural production and experience: design, fabrication and use. In doing so, the project seeks to reconsider the relationship between architectural representation and architectural artefact. The project proposes to investigate the oppotunities of a circular relationship rather than the familiar and historical linear relationship through which intent is translated into artefact.
The project is investigated both through scholarly research in the form of research papers, conference papers and a forthcoming edited book; and design practice in the form of physical and digital artefacts, prototypes and constructs.
