Description
An ongoing project focussing on the mechanical behaviour of the various layers as well as of the complete structure of canvas paintings and its implication in conservation procedures. Sub-projects and results have so far been obtained in collaboration with various international partners such as Marianne Odlyha and Christina Young as well as being one of the major subjects of the ICOM-CC Working Group of Paintings that I have coordinated for two triennial periods.
