Didactic project
Responsible (Anne Elisabeth Toft) for concept development, establishing of contact to and collaboration with CAFA, School of Architecture, Beijing, China - including the development of a two-year didactic pilot project: "CAFA-AAA Joint Studio".
"CAFA-AAA Joint Studio" was an international studio collaboration between Studio Constructing an Archive (AAA) and International Studio (CAFA), which from 2012 to 2014 offered a joint studio course for 35 Danish and Chinese graduate students. A study of the traditional Chinese "hutong" and its architectural qualities focusing on habitation and social sustainability and representations, maps and mapping formed the thematic framework for the course. Responsible teachers were: Anne Elisabeth Toft (DK), Claudia Carbone (DK), Keren He (CN), Wang Wei (CN) and David Porter (UK/CN).
