Identification and modelling of the deterioration processes in leather and other collagen based materials

The project includes theoretical modelling of the deterioration processes in leather and other collagen based materials like parchment, untanned hide, bones etc. The model work is based on analytical and experimental data from other previous and present projects. It includes mathematical and statistical models of breakdown mechanisms and changes in the physical and molecular structure of the materials as well as changes in their behaviour.
