Enzyme maceration

    Project Details

    Description

Investigation of enzyme maceration in comparison with traditional maceration methods.

Skeletonizing techniques of mamals intended for museum exhibitions are often based on bacterial maceration which is a slow and foul smelling procedure.

The idea is to use enzymes in order to speed up the maceration time and to elimate the problems of smell.

Different kinds of enzymes, proteases and lipases, from Novozymes are to be investigated.
