Description
Design interventions become design events as a way to focus away from the practice of drawing things and objects, to cautiously drawing things together through events. By that, the aim is to find better ways of representing and enacting a more 'cosmopolitical aesthetics' of design that give more justice to the interchanges and transformations going on between various material bodies, such as artifacts and humans.
Hence, the first aim of this thesis is to explore an eventualisations of the design object, which refers to how to get beyond the signification and representation of design works. The second aim is to exemplify the event in a more applied and designerly way, which I do through three different design projects that I have participated in during my PhD;
- Watt-lite
- Invite!
- Urban ANimals and Us
