Curriculum vitae
My research focusses on novel opportunities for architectural design that emerge when digital information flows across traditional domain boundaries. My PhD research developed digital methods to support interdependent working across engineering and architectural domains. In my PostDoc I explored the idea that new materials such as composites necessitate new relationships between material and representation, and developed new methods for extending architectural design into material property specification. As an Associate Professor, my research has focussed on architectural robotics, machine learning and sensing, and opportunities to extend processes of design into processes of making through feedback, adaptation, and the transfer of new modelling methods.
