Educational background

1972 Graduated as architect at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen (Dept. of prof. Henning Larsen)

1973-75 Employed at a private architect office designing office buildings and shopping centre.

1975-85 Teacher at the Institute for Building Construction, The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.Teaching special knowledge of construction and indoor climate in the design process.

1985-92 Teacher at the DataCenter at the Institute for Visual Communication.Teaching on courses for students and colleagues in the use of CAAD and IT.

1995 Teaching at The University of Transportation in St. Petersburg. 3D digital City Model and applications used in Computer Aided Design in the Scandinavian Countries. Exchange project between Copenhagen and St. Petersburg.Granted by the Ministry of Education.

1992-96 CAAD-lab, a project for specialized courses and for research within the area of IT and architecture.

1996-97 A research project on how to communicate architecture on the Internet. The project was granted by The Ministry of Culture.

1997 Becomming Associate professor for teaching Computeraided Architectural Design and Research and in creating structured, digital models.

1997-2000 Research project 3D City Model of Copenhagen, supported by special grants from The Ministry of Culture.

2001 Creating a 3D virtual model of part of Copenhagen Harbour shoving the space restrictions for a new opera. Project initiated from the School as contribution to the public debate.

2004 eCAADe 22nd conference 15-18th September 2004 "Architecture in the Network Society", Organizing Committee: Bjarne Rüdiger, Bruno Tournay & Henning Ørbæk.

2001-2005 Research project "The Electronic Neighbourhood (e-kvarter)". IT in Urban Renewal".Development of dialogue methods for the internet to involve residents in the urban revitalisation projects at Nørrebro Park Kvarter. 2002-2005 "Media and Democracy in the network society (Modinet)" an interdisciplinary research project at the University of Copenhagen. The Electronic Neighbourhood (e-kvarter) research team became member of Theme 1 - "Democracy, Governance, and New Public Spheres".   http://www.modinet.dk/

At Institute for Technology focusing on the specialized (teaching and) research area within the Institute;
