    Description

The incandescent bulb has now for 130 years lit up our living rooms with its warm light, but now it's over. This week we said goodbye to the 60W incandescent bulb and shortly the incandescent bulb is history. It is phased out across Europe to save energy.

This week, in the world of science, we look closely at the light. How does light effect our well-being, and how does light or the lack of light affect our body? In the program You can hear how the lighting at Radiological Department at Rigshospitalet was radically changed by a new illumination for the benefit of the nightshift workers, and we look into the crystal ball at DTU to gain insight into how tomorrow's lighting will be.
