Description
The transformation of the 60s housing is at stage. The focus is at holistic renovations: because the questions regarding social sustainability goes hand in hand with huge architectional interventions, where materials, energy, life between houses, history of culture and indoor climate are colleted in holistic statesments about the future for housing in the urban context. Themes as users involvement in change and accomplishment, industrial solutions, the heritage discussion, perspectives from abroad, change of form and material experience, together with new Integrated energy solutions in the climate screen, just to mention some of the questions, which will be told. The conference UPGRADE 15 will show the actual contributions and will discuss the architectual attitude to future proofing of the housing scheemes from the 60s and 70s. The conference is the fourth of a row which counts SuRe10, UPGRADE'12, Energi Optimization of the masonry Buildings 2013, which all are arranged by Aarhus School of Architecture, Associaltion of Sustainable Cities and Buildings FBBB and Academic Architectural Association.Period | 24 Mar 2015 |
