Description
The practice of crafting future cities is an emerging approach, yet every generation has attempted to create their own vision. What's different now is that we have more tools and data to respond to real-time needs, to design for the temporary as well as the hard infrastructure layers. The focus of the talk is on the themes and problems that city labs are tackling and an analysis of their methodologies. As we hack and sense our cities more closely, there are many lessons we can learn from observing the solutions in action.
