The concept of work is experiencing a revolution and this is a global megatrend. The revolution is defined by, among others, sustainability, ageing of the population, digitalisation and robotisation. Questions about the relationship between work and income, the nature of learning and education as well as the social, ethical and ecological sustainability of future work are relevant to us all. The revolution challenges traditional understanding of work, professional know-how and livelihood, and thus even the basic principles of a welfare society. On 28th February, the Nordic Culture Point, Arctic Design Week and the Nordic Region in Focus will organise an After Work? Symposium in Helsinki. Join us to hear about the future of work and about the role design can play in the process! In the afternoon workshop, you will learn how to use design thinking as a tool for managing the transit of work in your own life through practical case examples.
