Description

The seminar was held at the premises of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Agency of Ajara, Batumi, Georgia. It was combined with field work as well as with work in the laboratory of the Agency. The aim of the event was to help with the identification of the main risk areas at one of Georgia's most prominent archaeological sites - Gonio Apsaros, as well as to outline a strategy for the conservation and the maintenance of the site. The target group consisted of the archaeologists working at the site and the conservators of the Agency. The results of the seminar and the workshop were presented in front of the Director of the Agency and the Minister of Culture of Ajara.
