Nature-In-Space:

Activity: Participating in or organising an event Organisation and participation in conference

Description

This unique lecture series comprises ground-breaking architectural approaches where interior spatial design acts as an outstanding experience of phenomenon of Nature. It combines contemporary design practice with scientific perspectives.

Held by the research Center for Interior Studies (CIS),* within the Institute of Architecture and Design at The Royal Danish Academy Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK), linked to the research project Nature-In conducted by PhD Carmen García Sánchez and the architecture and design master programme (2023), the lecture series will illuminate and enrich our understanding of architectural biophilic design and will stimulate the intersectoral debate and interest in Nature-inclusive architectural interior design.

The main aim is not only to produce and disseminate knowledge, but to influence/change the attitude of design practitioners, architecture and design students, researchers, policy-makers and society, to contribute to enhance the health and wellbeing through daily interaction with Nature in communities, today and in the future.
