Director Margriet van Klinken of will welcome Danish architects and experts in digital design and transformation from the renowned Aarhus School of Architecture in Klooster Ter Apel for the symposium on 26 January.

Jan Buthke, Jesper Beck and Anders Lonka, together with students participating in Studio Digital Transformation, a Master's degree programma of the Aarhus School of Architecture, will discuss and demonstrate how traditional crafts and materials can be used as a source of inspiration and catalyst for a transformation into fully digital design and construction processes.

Participating architects and professionals along with students from Holland will be introduced to exiting design methods, production techniques and construction materials fully suited to digitally driven and executed production processes.

At the end of the symposium councillor Giny Luth will open the ‘The Spine’ exhibition, which will be held in the monastery's church from 26 January - 8 March.
This exclusive exhibition, which until now has only been seen in Aarhus and Milan, will be made accessible to a wider audience.
