The conference offered insight into gained knowledge and research projects that focus on the issues of care, health, architecture and urban design as fields of research. ARCH19 therefore connected research & innovation to promote collaborative innovation processes in architecture & urban design for care & health. The keynote seminar ‘healthcare architecture research in practise’ connected researchers and practitioners in healthcare architecture on an international level. Hospital managers, architects, project organisations, and consultants from Europe were invited to discuss with scientists from different disciplines how research contributes to ‘building for better health’.
