The Hunstad Code: Rules for the planning of a rural town

Publikation: Bidrag til tidsskriftTidsskriftartikelForskningpeer review

Abstract

With modern technology and levels of prosperity making many of us increasingly self-sufficient, architects Anders Abraham and Christina Capetillo argue that a rural ‘town’ is defined by the level of interactivity within it rather than merely by population figures. In collaboration with curators Annesofie Becker and Martin Christiansen, they have developed the Hunstad Code to offer guidelines for the construction of environments that can encourage the development of relationships between residents even while remaining low-density.
