N2 - Fractures and Infinite Space – The Baroque RevisitedPhotographer Anders Sune Berg's images of Lauritz de Thurah's 18th century architecture, including Officinet, have revealed a vanished world of forms. These forms have been investigated by designers and architects at The Royal Danish Academy: glass artist Maria Sparre-Petersen, ceramicist Flemming Tvede Hansen and architects Suzi Pain, Natalie Körner, Jacob Bang and Anne Romme. Through design experiments the exhibitors explore how this forgotten treasure of spatial and material effects can inspire contemporary design practice. The exhibition has been curated by the architect Peter Thule Kristensen and the exhibition design created by graphic designer Rasmus Koch. Both are behind the book Lauritz de Thurah – Architecture and World Views in Eighteenth-Century Denmark, which also includes photographs by Anders Sune Berg.
