Calling for a Regenerative Approach to Urban Renewal in Copenhagen: Filmmaking as an Analytical Practice for Understanding Omitted Aspects of Value in Postindustrial Areas

An exploration of how a filmic lens can be used to characterise and assess an urban area as a coherent landscape rather than a collection of individual buildings. Here, the practised (how places are used, and by whom), the ecological (existing vegetation, for instance), and the phenomenological (experiences, sounds, atmospheres, and light) are all given central importance—and are communicated through film.
