Abstract

Biogenic materials hold great potenitals to reduce the CO2 emission of construction. But restrictive fire protection can be a serious showstopper in developing new sustainable ways of construction. The project aims to push the fundamental understanding about the potentials of biogenic architecture and construction.

In terms of the manifest ’Architecture for Necessity’ the project aims to showcase how biogenic construction can scaled to an industrialized level and can push new sustainable strategies.
