OF A BUILDING: THE GRADUAL CHANGES OVER TIME. IT ALSO DESCRIBES
THE BUILDING DETAILS – CORNICE, PLINTH, EAVES, SILL ETC.
– ELEMENTS THAT PROTECT THE BUILDING FROM RAIN AND THEREBY
CONTROLS THE PROCESSES OF DESTRUCTION AND PATINA. THROUGH A
WELL-CONSIDERED USE OF MATERIALS AND DETAILS, ARCHITECTS MAY
EVEN BE ABLE TO MAKE THE BUILDING PROFIT FROM THE WEATHERING
