Abstract
The Desert Fortress project reinterprets the conservation values of the existing building and demonstrates how cultural heritage, building technology and aesthetic sensitivity may be essential sustainable parameters. The principal aim is to make an aesthetically rich and technically robust facade, which may last for a long time and weather beautifully. The climate calculation is simple: reusing as much as possible saves energy as well as material resources.
