Strategic Inquiry

My PhD project focuses on the practices, methods & tools of transdisciplinary teams engaged in "prejects" - the process of inquiry and problem framing taking place early in innovation projects. Being a designer, I am curious to explore the role of design thinking in prejects. I am collaborating closely with four organisations throughout the project, two explicitly working with design, and two which do not. Two specific topics which I am studying are: the degree that trusted approaches & improvisation are involved in the process; and the flows of information between users, the team, the project owner (client) and their organisation.
